“Your Daily Dose” is a quick two minute read packed with bite-sized wisdom from all the great teachers. But you could also choose to turn it into something more… a powerful daily practice for personal growth. Give it a try!
A message from today’s meditation:
The human journey moves through a spectrum of experiences and understandings that vary from intricate complexity that is hard to make sense of, all the way to having epiphanies of just how simple it could all be. Our minds do tend to overcomplicate things, so sometimes it is really helpful to embrace simple concepts that further our understanding.
Gary Zukav’s message for us today, breaks it down to as simple as it can be.
“The human emotional system can be broken down into roughly two elements: fear and love. Love is of the soul. Fear is of the personality.” – Gary Zukav
“Every decision that you make either moves you toward your personality, or toward your soul.” – Gary Zukav
“With each choice that you make to align yourself with the energy of your soul, you empower yourself. Love is the energy of the soul. Love is what heals the personality. There is nothing that cannot be healed by love. There is nothing but love.” – Gary Zukav
To be clear, ‘the personality’ that Gary speaks of here is not ‘bad’ or ‘wrong’ and doesn’t deserve judgement or criticism. This personality is just the very human part of who we are and its nature is to be heavily invested in the survival of this ‘flesh and bone’ vessel that we occupy.
Naturally as a means to survive, FEAR is the mother tongue of this meat suit. So don’t get involved in a war with this scared human but also, if you don’t learn how to get beyond the fear, you will remain limited to a life of survival only. The choice that you have is to ‘remember’ that this is not all that you are. You are also soul, for whom the mother tongue is LOVE.
When you start paying attention you will see how every decision you make results in your body experiencing either LOVE or FEAR. And with every action you take, you are wiring either more LOVE or more FEAR into your nervous system.
“It is for you to decide what you will contribute to this world… Will you contribute to the love that is in the world or the fear? This is the same opportunity that presents itself each moment.” – Gary Zukav
The choice is ours: to remain trapped in the cycle of fear or to break free and embrace the love that resides within us. By aligning ourselves with the energy of our souls, we empower ourselves and heal our personalities. Love is the ultimate antidote to fear, capable of transforming our lives in profound ways.
A few affirmations to wire more love into your life:
- “I choose to recognize when fear is driving my decisions, and I gently redirect myself toward love.”
- “My soul’s natural language is love, and I trust this wisdom to guide my choices.
- “Every moment offers me the opportunity to contribute more love to the world.”
- “I remember that beneath all fear lies the infinite capacity for love.”
Today’s meditation is a clear choice to contribute to the love in the world. You are invited to come and sit in our circle.

Practice the “Daily Dose”
Let’s put it into practice! Choose what works for you – daily, once a week or whenever inspiration strikes. Putting pen to paper wires the neural pathways that will create your new habits.
1 – Affirmation
Write down your favourite affirmation on a sticky note and place it somewhere that you’ll be able to see it the whole day.
2 – A moment of reflection
Use today’s question as a journal prompt. If you don’t have the time to sit down and write, just take a moment to reflect on your response.
Fear vs. Love Decision Mapping: Reflect on three significant decisions you’ve made in the past week. For each decision, identify whether it was primarily driven by fear (personality) or love (soul). What patterns do you notice? How did your body feel during each decision-making process?
3 – Quotes to share
Send a quote to someone who needs it, or share them all on social media to spread the good vibes!

4 – Q&A for deeper learning
Read through the questions and answers and write down at least one “aha moment” that clicked for you.
Q1: How can I tell if a decision is coming from fear or love?
A: A fear-based decision is primarily driven by the need for short-term safety and self-preservation, often aiming to avoid criticism, loss, or discomfort; it feels contractive, heavy, and paralyzing, urging you to retreat to a familiar, safe place. Conversely, a love-based decision is driven by long-term growth, integrity, and the highest good for all involved, demanding you honor your values even if it involves immediate risk or discomfort. Making a decision based in love can sometimes feel scary when it asks us to step out of a familiar comfort zone, but it is coupled with an underlying sense of rightness, purpose, and energetic expansion, urging you to move forward.
Q2: Is it realistic to make every decision from love? What about practical concerns?
A: Making decisions from love doesn’t mean ignoring practical realities. It means approaching practical concerns from a place of wisdom and trust rather than anxiety and panic. You can address real-world needs while still choosing responses that align with love rather than fear.
Q3: If fear is natural to the personality, why should I try to transcend it?
A: The goal isn’t to eliminate fear but to not be limited by it. Fear serves a purpose in keeping us safe, but when it becomes the primary driver of our choices, we miss opportunities for growth, connection, and fulfillment. Transcending fear means making conscious choices rather than automatic reactions.
Q4: How do I “remember” that I am soul, not just personality?
A: Regular practices like meditation, mindfulness, and self-reflection help you connect with your soul essence. Notice moments when you feel most authentic, compassionate, and peaceful—these are glimpses of your soul nature. The more you practice awareness, the easier it becomes to remember this deeper identity.
Q5: Can love really heal everything, as Gary Zukav suggests?
A: From this perspective, love is seen as the fundamental energy that can transform fear-based patterns and wounds. This doesn’t mean instant fixes, but rather that approaching ourselves and others with love creates the conditions for healing and growth. Love provides the safety and acceptance needed for transformation.
Q6: How do I contribute to love in the world when I’m dealing with my own fears?
A: Contributing to love starts with how you treat yourself. When you respond to your own fears with compassion rather than judgment, you’re already contributing to love. Small acts of kindness, listening deeply to others, and choosing understanding over criticism are all ways to contribute love, even while working through personal challenges.
Q7: What if I’m in a situation where I genuinely need to be afraid for my safety?
A: Healthy fear that protects you from real danger is different from the chronic, limiting fear that keeps you stuck. Even in genuinely dangerous situations, you can still choose how to respond—with panic and reactivity, or with alert awareness and wise action. The practice is about not letting fear become your default mode for all of life’s challenges.
