“Your Daily Dose” is a quick two minute read packed with bite-sized wisdom from all the great teachers. But you could also choose to turn it into something more… a powerful daily practice for personal growth. Give it a try!
A message from today’s meditation:
I LOVE Mondays!
The truth is, how we approach Monday significantly influences the emotional tone of the entire week. It’s a powerful starting point, a blank canvas upon which we paint the strokes of our intentions. Just as a sailor must carefully set their sails to navigate the winds, we must consciously set our intentions to navigate the challenges and opportunities that lie in the week ahead.
Be intentional as you look ahead into this week.
Intention doesn’t guarantee that things work out as you’ve planned, but clear intent is what steers your ship when the storms do arise. Without clear intent you are at the mercy of the storm, with nothing to guide your decision making, and you will be swept in whatever direction your external environment dictates.
“You can’t control the direction that the wind blows, but you CAN set your sails to reach any destination you choose.” – Unknown
“If one does not know to which port one is sailing, then no wind is favourable.” – Seneca
“The true master always has perfectly clear intent, and also accepts whatever happens as the perfect outcome.” – Unknown
We are always surrounded by weather systems outside of our control, and no matter how clearly our intention is set, it will never make us master of the wind and the waves. However when foul weather hits – as it often does – and you have to change all of your plans, the one thing that will get you back on course is the clear intention you’ve set.
Without clear intention you are at the mercy of your environment, you will be pushed wherever the weather systems choose. But if you know where you are going then changing weather conditions are not so scary anymore, because you know that whatever the wind does you will keep adjusting your sails until you reach the destination that you choose.
Step out into every day of this week with clarity of intention. Then at the end of each day, after doing your best, put your head down to rest. Remind yourself that however the day turns out is perfect! Life is always a work in progress, and tomorrow you will create from your best once again.
Set yourself up to thrive no matter what winds blow your way.
So, how do we cultivate this intentional mindset?
- Start each day with intention: Before diving into the day’s tasks, take a few moments to reflect on your goals and priorities. What do you want to achieve today? What kind of energy do you want to bring to your interactions?
- Embrace the present moment: While it’s important to have long-term goals, focus on the present moment. Be fully engaged in the task at hand, appreciating the small victories along the way.
- Practice self-compassion: Life is a continuous journey of learning and growth. Be kind to yourself, acknowledge your efforts, and learn from any setbacks.
- Celebrate your wins: Acknowledge and celebrate your accomplishments, no matter how small. This reinforces positive behaviors and motivates you to continue striving for your goals.
By cultivating a mindset of intentionality, we can transform Mondays from dreaded obstacles into exciting opportunities. We can navigate the winds of change with grace and resilience, and ultimately, create a week that is both productive and fulfilling.
Have a beautiful week!

Practice the “Daily Dose”
Let’s put it into practice! Choose what works for you – daily, once a week or whenever inspiration strikes. Putting pen to paper wires the neural pathways that will create your new habits.
1 – Affirmation
Not affirmations today, but a few thoughts on cultivating an intentional mindset. Write down your favourite one and place it somewhere that you’ll be able to see it the whole day.
- Start each day with intention: Before diving into the day’s tasks, take a few moments to reflect on your goals and priorities. What do you want to achieve today? What kind of energy do you want to bring to your interactions?

- Celebrate your wins: Acknowledge and celebrate your accomplishments, no matter how small. This reinforces positive behaviors and motivates you to continue striving for your goals.
2 – A moment of reflection
Use today’s question as a journal prompt. If you don’t have the time to sit down and write, just take a moment to reflect on your response.
Navigating Your Storms: We are always surrounded by weather systems outside of our control. When foul weather hits and you have to change all of your plans, the only thing that will get you back on course is a clear intention of where you’re going or who you choose to be. What is your “port” – your ultimate destination or clear intention right now? Describe it in detail. How clearly can you see it, and if it’s unclear, what’s preventing you from defining it?
3 – Quotes to share
Send a quote to someone who needs it, or share them all on social media to spread the good vibes!

4 – Q&A for deeper learning
Read through the questions and answers and write down at least one “aha moment” that clicked for you.
Q1: What does it mean to “set your sails” in terms of daily life?
Setting your sails means establishing clear intentions for your day, week, or life goals. It’s about deciding what direction you want to move in and what matters most to you, rather than simply reacting to whatever circumstances arise. Just as a sailor adjusts their sails to work with the wind rather than against it, you’re proactively choosing your response to life’s conditions.
Q2: Why is Monday so important for setting the tone of the week?
Monday serves as a powerful reset point and starting line for the week ahead. The energy and mindset you bring to Monday creates momentum that ripples through the following days. By approaching Monday intentionally rather than with dread, you establish a foundation of clarity and purpose that influences how you navigate the entire week’s challenges and opportunities.
Q3: What if I set intentions but things still don’t go according to plan?
This is exactly the point—intention isn’t about controlling outcomes or guaranteeing specific results. Clear intention serves as your compass when plans change, helping you adjust and recalibrate rather than feeling lost or overwhelmed. It gives you a reference point to return to when life throws you off course, allowing you to make decisions aligned with your deeper values and goals.
Q4: How can I practice acceptance while still being intentional about my goals?
The key is holding both truths simultaneously: be clear about where you want to go, and remain flexible about how you get there. Set your intentions with commitment, then practice releasing attachment to specific outcomes. This means doing your best each day, then acknowledging that however things unfold contains valuable lessons. It’s the difference between rigid control and wise guidance.
Q5: What are some practical ways to start each day with intention?
Begin with just five to ten minutes of morning reflection before checking your phone or jumping into tasks. Ask yourself: What are my priorities today? How do I want to feel? What energy do I want to bring to my interactions? You might journal, meditate, or simply sit quietly with these questions. The practice doesn’t need to be elaborate—consistency matters more than complexity.
Q6: How does self-compassion relate to setting intentions?
Self-compassion is essential because intentional living isn’t about perfection—it’s about progress. When you inevitably face setbacks, miss goals, or get blown off course, self-compassion allows you to acknowledge your efforts without harsh judgment. This kindness toward yourself makes it easier to reset your intentions and try again rather than giving up entirely when things don’t go perfectly.
Q7: Can I really transform my relationship with Mondays?
Yes, but it requires consistent practice in shifting your perspective. Instead of viewing Monday as the enemy of weekend freedom, reframe it as a weekly opportunity for renewal and fresh starts. This doesn’t mean forcing false positivity, but rather approaching Monday with curiosity and intention. Over time, as you experience the benefits of starting your week with clarity, your authentic feelings about Mondays will naturally begin to shift.
