“Your Daily Dose” is a quick two minute read packed with bite-sized wisdom from all the great teachers. But you could also choose to turn it into something more… a powerful daily practice for personal growth. Give it a try!
A message from today’s meditation:
Have you ever paused to consider the profound impact of a simple blessing? Not just a casual wish of goodwill, but a heartfelt acknowledgment of another’s inherent worthiness? The practice of blessing others, it turns out, is a potent catalyst for personal transformation. It is a challenge that expands our consciousness and invites us into a realm of unconditional love and understanding.
“Bless everything in existence with your entire being and immediately you recognize your inner state of completeness and harmony.” – Mooji
Being “willing” to look at all of the humans around you, and wishing only good things upon each and every one of them – even those who have wronged you – requires your heart to open up really wide. And from your own open heart you will be the one who benefits the most! Blessing everything in existence, blesses you with your own wholeness.
“If you could look inside the heart of any and every single human being, you would fall in love with them completely. If you see the inside as it really is and not as your mind projects it to be, you would be so purely in love with the whole thing.” – Mooji
Everyone around us (for the most part) is acting from their own wounding. Their actions and reactions come from their own pain and from their own level of understanding. Of course this doesn’t mean that we should ever put up with abuse from another person, but it does mean that when we choose to ‘love from a distance,’ that we can actually LOVE, knowing that every heart is really doing the best that it can.
“Some beings will walk with you for the duration of this bodily existence, up to the very end. Some will come with bright promises, bright lights, but they fade quickly. Others come, they don’t look like they will go very far, but they are marathon runners; they’re there with you all the time. You cannot determine this… Somehow in the flow of your own unique river, you will see that everything is as it should be.” – Mooji
When you look at all of the humans who have walked into and out of your life, while sending a blessing to every one of those hearts, then you are standing in the vibration of love. Your mind is vibrating with love, your heart is vibrating with love, every cell in your body and nervous system has become the vibration of love, and you yourself become the biggest beneficiary.
THIS, is the strongest medicine for your soul… your own open heart.
Affirmations to vibrate at the frequency of love:
- “By blessing others, I bless myself.”
- “Everything is unfolding as it should.”
- “I am a channel of love and compassion.”
- “I choose to see the heart behind the actions.”
- “Everyone is doing the best they can with the tools they have.”
Today, take a moment to reflect on the people in your life. Send them a silent blessing. Visualize their hearts filled with light and love. As you do this, you’ll discover a profound sense of peace and well-being within yourself. Join us and bless yourself with your own wholeness.

Practice the “Daily Dose”
Let’s put it into practice! Choose what works for you – daily, once a week or whenever inspiration strikes. Putting pen to paper wires the neural pathways that will create your new habits.
1 – Affirmation
Write down your favourite affirmation on a sticky note and place it somewhere that you’ll be able to see it the whole day.
- “By blessing others, I bless myself.”
- “Everything is unfolding as it should.”
- “I am a channel of love and compassion.”
- “I choose to see the heart behind the actions.”
- “Everyone is doing the best they can with the tools they have.”
2 – A moment of reflection
Use today’s question as a journal prompt. If you don’t have the time to sit down and write, just take a moment to reflect on your response.
The Challenge of Blessing Those Who Have Hurt You: Think of someone who has wronged you or caused you pain. Without excusing their actions, reflect on what it would mean to send them a genuine blessing. What resistance do you feel in your body and mind when you consider this? How might your own healing be connected to your ability to wish them well? Write about the difference between blessing someone and condoning their behavior.
3 – Quotes to share
Send a quote to someone who needs it, or share them all on social media to spread the good vibes!
4 – Q&A for deeper learning
Read through the questions and answers and write down at least one “aha moment” that clicked for you.
Q1. What exactly does it mean to “bless” someone?
Blessing someone goes beyond wishing them well – it’s a heartfelt acknowledgment of their inherent worthiness and a genuine desire for their highest good. It involves seeing past their actions to their essential humanity and sending them love, peace, and healing energy. This practice doesn’t require religious belief; it’s about opening your heart to recognize the divine spark in every person.
Q2. How can I bless someone who has seriously hurt me? Isn’t that just being a doormat?
Blessing someone who has hurt you is not about excusing their behaviour or allowing continued harm. You can absolutely maintain healthy boundaries while still sending love to their heart. The practice is about freeing yourself from the burden of resentment and recognizing that their hurtful actions likely stem from their own pain. You can “love from a distance” while protecting yourself from further harm.
Q3. What are the actual benefits of blessing others for my own well-being?
When you consistently practice sending love and blessings to others, you’re not just shifting your spiritual state – you’re triggering measurable changes in your body’s chemistry and nervous system. Neuroscience research shows that experiencing genuine feelings of love and compassion activates the release of oxytocin, often called the “bonding hormone,” which lowers cortisol levels and reduces the physiological stress response. This shift moves your nervous system out of fight-or-flight mode and into the parasympathetic state, where your heart rate variability improves, blood pressure stabilizes, and your immune system functions more efficiently. Studies on loving-kindness meditation – a practice remarkably similar to blessing others – have found that regular practitioners show increased activity in brain regions associated with empathy and emotional regulation, along with reduced inflammation markers linked to chronic disease. In essence, when you choose to bless others, you’re literally rewiring your brain and body for greater resilience, calm, and vitality – proving that the ancient wisdom of “loving your neighbor” and modern neuroscience are pointing to the same profound truth: love heals from the inside out. When you genuinely bless the humans around you, you literally become the biggest beneficiary of that blessing.
Q4. How do I practically implement blessing others in my daily life?
Start small by silently sending good wishes to people you encounter throughout your day – the cashier, your coworkers, strangers on the street. When someone irritates you, pause and try to see their behaviour as coming from their own pain or limited understanding. Practice visualizing people’s hearts filled with light and love. You can also set aside time daily to specifically send blessings to people in your life, including those with whom you have difficult relationships.
Q5. What if I don’t feel genuine when trying to bless someone I dislike?
This is completely normal and honest. Start by simply being willing to try, even if the feelings aren’t there yet. You might begin by blessing their potential for healing or growth rather than their current behaviour. The practice is about expanding your heart gradually – it’s not about forcing fake feelings. Your willingness to attempt the practice, even when it feels difficult, is what creates the transformation over time.
Q6. How do I handle the reality that some people will leave my life while others stay?
Understanding that relationships have natural seasons helps you appreciate each person’s role in your journey without attachment to outcomes. Some people serve as brief teachers or catalysts, while others are meant for longer companionship. The key is to bless everyone equally – those who stay and those who go – recognizing that each connection serves a purpose in your growth. This perspective helps you release expectations and embrace the natural flow of relationships.
Q7. Can this practice really change how I experience difficult people and situations?
Yes, but the change happens gradually and starts with your internal state. As you consistently practice blessing others, you develop a more compassionate lens through which you view human behaviour. You begin to see reactions and difficult behaviours as expressions of pain and limited understanding rather than personal attacks. This shift in perspective naturally reduces your own reactivity and increases your capacity for patience and understanding. The external situations may not change, but your experience of them transforms completely.
