May you infect everyone around you with the magic of your soul!

“Your Daily Dose” is a quick two minute read packed with bite-sized wisdom from all the great teachers. But you could also choose to turn it into something more… a powerful daily practice for personal growth. Give it a try!

A message from today’s meditation:

Hello! Welcome to a brand new week!

This week we don’t have just one teacher but a collection of wisdom from a diverse group of teachers.

Today’s message is from Albert Einstein who I think along with scientist and philosopher, could perhaps be described as spiritual teacher too:

“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.” – Albert Einstein

These profound words by the brilliant physicist offer a powerful perspective shift for anyone seeking a more fulfilling life. It’s a choice, Einstein suggests, between a world devoid of wonder and one brimming with magic. This week, let’s explore how to cultivate the “miracle mindset” – a way of perceiving the world where every experience holds a lesson and every day unfolds as a potential marvel.

The concept goes beyond mere optimism. It’s a conscious decision to believe in a “friendly universe,” as Einstein further states:

“The most important decision we make is whether we believe we live in a friendly or hostile universe.” – Albert Einstein

This belief fosters a sense of trust – a trust that even the challenges we face are ultimately opportunities for growth.

But how do we translate this lofty philosophy into daily practice? Because our real work is this: How do we manage to remind ourselves of this friendly universe while we’re feeling the pressure? On those days when we’re faced with real obstacles and stumbling blocks?

The answer lies in mindfulness – the practice of staying present and actively seeking the “teacher in every moment.” If we perceive the universe as hostile, every challenge becomes evidence of a world conspiring against us. But when we choose to believe in a friendly universe, even our obstacles transform into opportunities for growth. The same traffic jam that once triggered frustration becomes a moment to practice patience. The broken appliance isn’t just an inconvenience – it’s a chance to develop resilience and problem-solving skills. This doesn’t mean every experience will feel pleasant, but it does mean every experience carries potential wisdom. Each interaction, whether delightful or difficult, holds the potential for learning and growth… if we choose to see it…

One more thought from Einstein for your week ahead:

“Creativity is contagious, pass it on!” – Albert Einstein

How you show up in this world IS how you create. Your energy, your perspective, your way of moving through the world – all of this is your creative expression. And creativity, as Einstein reminds us, spreads, it creates ripples that extend far beyond our immediate awareness. When you choose to see magic in the mundane, you give others permission to do the same. When you approach challenges with curiosity rather than complaint, you model a different way of being.

How you create is contagious. May you infect everyone around you with the magic of your soul!

Affirmations to support your “miracle mindset”:

  • “Every day is a miracle, and I choose to see the teacher in every moment.”
  • “I believe in a friendly universe that invites me to grow and evolve.”
  • “I choose to see the wisdom in both my joys and my challenges.”

Cultivating the miracle mindset requires a shift in perspective, not in necessarily external circumstances. By choosing to see the magic in the mundane, we transform our daily lives into a continuous journey of discovery.  So, embrace the challenges, celebrate the small victories, and remember, every moment is a potential miracle waiting to unfold.

Practice the “Daily Dose”

Let’s put it into practice! Choose what works for you – daily, once a week or whenever inspiration strikes. Putting pen to paper wires the neural pathways that will create your new habits.

1 – Affirmation

Write down your favourite affirmation on a sticky note and place it somewhere that you’ll be able to see it the whole day.

  • “Every day is a miracle, and I choose to see the teacher in every moment.”
  • “I believe in a friendly universe that invites me to grow and evolve.”
  • “I choose to see the wisdom in both my joys and my challenges.”

2 – A moment of reflection

Use today’s question as a journal prompt. If you don’t have the time to sit down and write, just take a moment to reflect on your response.

Think about a typical day in your life – your morning routine, your commute, your daily tasks: Where have you been living “as though nothing is a miracle”…? Choose three ordinary moments from your day and describe how you could experience them as miraculous. What shifts in your awareness when you do this?

3 – Quotes to share

Send a quote to someone who needs it, or share them all on social media to spread the good vibes!

4 – Q&A for deeper learning

Read through the questions and answers and write down at least one “aha moment” that clicked for you.

Q1: What exactly is the “miracle mindset” and how is it different from positive thinking?

The miracle mindset goes beyond surface-level optimism or positive thinking. It’s a fundamental choice about how you perceive reality—seeing every experience, including challenges, as opportunities for growth and learning. While positive thinking often means focusing only on good outcomes, the miracle mindset acknowledges difficulties while trusting they serve a purpose in a fundamentally friendly universe. It’s less about forced positivity and more about conscious perspective.

Q2: How can I maintain this mindset when I’m facing real hardships or serious challenges?

The miracle mindset doesn’t deny the reality of difficulties—it transforms our relationship with them. The practice involves mindfulness: staying present and actively seeking “the teacher in every moment.” When pressure mounts, the work isn’t to pretend everything is fine, but to ask: “What can this teach me? How might this be serving my growth?” It’s a practice that requires conscious renewal, especially during tough times, but it’s precisely in those moments that the shift in perspective becomes most transformative.

Q3: What did Einstein mean by choosing between a “friendly” or “hostile” universe?

Einstein understood that our fundamental beliefs about the nature of reality shape our entire experience. If you believe the universe is hostile—that life is fundamentally working against you—every setback becomes evidence of this belief, creating a cycle of frustration and victimhood. If you believe in a friendly universe, you maintain trust that even challenges ultimately serve your growth. This isn’t about whether bad things happen, but about the meaning you assign to your experiences and whether you fundamentally trust the process of life.

Q4: Isn’t this perspective just spiritual bypassing or avoiding real problems?

Not at all. The miracle mindset doesn’t ignore problems or dismiss genuine pain and difficulty. Instead, it’s about approaching those very real challenges with a different lens—one that seeks wisdom and growth rather than just focusing on victimhood or complaint. You still take action to solve problems, but you do so from a place of trust rather than fear, and with an openness to the lessons embedded in every experience.

Q5: How is creativity “contagious” as Einstein suggests?

Your energy and perspective ripple outward in ways you may never fully see. When you approach life with wonder, curiosity, and openness, you model a different way of being that influences everyone around you. Creativity here isn’t just about art—it’s about how you create your experience of reality. When others witness someone navigating challenges with grace or finding joy in ordinary moments, it gives them permission to do the same. Your miracle mindset becomes an invitation for others to shift their own perspective.

Q6: What are practical ways to “see the teacher in every moment”?

Start by bringing mindful awareness to ordinary experiences. When stuck in traffic, instead of defaulting to frustration, ask: “What is this teaching me about patience?” When facing a broken appliance, consider: “How am I developing problem-solving skills or adaptability?” The practice is about pausing before reacting and consciously looking for the lesson or growth opportunity in each situation. Over time, this becomes a habit—a new way of automatically processing experiences.

Q7: Can I really transform my life just by changing my perspective?

Einstein’s wisdom suggests that perspective is everything. While changing your perspective won’t necessarily change external circumstances, it completely transforms your experience of those circumstances—and often, that shift in experience naturally leads to different choices and actions. When you see challenges as teachers rather than enemies, you respond differently. When you trust in a friendly universe, you take risks you might otherwise avoid. The miracle mindset isn’t magic that eliminates problems, but it is transformative in how you navigate them, and that transformation can genuinely reshape the trajectory of your life.
