“Your Daily Dose” is a quick two minute read packed with bite-sized wisdom from all the great teachers. But you could also choose to turn it into something more… a powerful daily practice for personal growth. Give it a try!
A message from today’s meditation:
Most of us spend our lives identifying with the constant stream of mental chatter, the endless commentary running through our minds. We believe we are these thoughts, we are these emotions, these worries, these fears. But what if that’s not true? What if you are something infinitely greater?
Within each of us exists an original self, a dimension of consciousness that predates our conditioning, our stories, and our accumulated mental patterns. This inner universe is more expansive than any thought could ever be, the essence of who you truly are, before the world told you who you should be.
Have you journeyed to that place that is the original you? The space you were created in, the universe within, vaster than any thought. Today’s meditation is a guided journey to listen to your true self, the one before the noise.
“Become aware of your breathing. Notice how this takes attention away from your thinking and creates space.” – Eckhart Tolle
“Stop looking outside for scraps of pleasure or fulfillment, for validation, security or love – you have a treasure within that is infinitely greater than anything the world can offer.” – Eckhart Tolle
“What is arising now is not a new belief system, a new religion, spiritual ideology, or mythology. The change goes deeper than the content of your mind, deeper than your thoughts. In fact, at the heart of your new consciousness lies the transcendence of thought, the newfound ability of rising above thought, of realizing a dimension within yourself that is infinitely more vast than thought. You then no longer derive your identity, your sense of who you are, from the incessant stream of thinking that in your old consciousness you took to be yourself. What a liberation to realize that the ‘voice in my head’ is not who I am. Who am I then? I am the one who sees this. The awareness that is prior to thought, the space in which the thought – or the emotion – or the sense perception – happens.” – Eckhart Tolle
You are not the thoughts you think. You are not the emotions you feel. You are the one who observes thoughts and feelings, and in this observer lies your wisdom.
Guiding mantras for expansion:
- “I am not my thoughts.”
- “My deepest wisdom lies beyond the thinking.”
- “I breathe, creating space for my soul to whisper.”
- “Within me lies an infinite wellspring of truth.”
- “Today, I choose to listen to the wisdom of my soul.”
When we get better at observing our emotions and thoughts without becoming entangled in them, then we also get better at listening to the wisdom that comes from a deeper place. Join us today as we ask our souls to speak, guiding us to that boundless inner source.

Practice the “Daily Dose”
Let’s put it into practice! Choose what works for you – daily, once a week or whenever inspiration strikes. Putting pen to paper wires the neural pathways that will create your new habits.
1 – Affirmation
Write down your favourite affirmation on a sticky note and place it somewhere that you’ll be able to see it the whole day.
2 – A moment of reflection
Use today’s question as a journal prompt. If you don’t have the time to sit down and write, just take a moment to reflect on your response.
The Voice in Your Head: Reflect on the “voice in your head” that provides constant commentary on your life. What does this voice typically say? How would your life change if you recognized this voice as something you witness rather than something you are? Describe what your deeper identity might feel like beyond this mental chatter.
3 – Quotes to share
Send a quote to someone who needs it, or share them all on social media to spread the good vibes!

4 – Q&A for deeper learning
Read through the questions and answers and write down at least one “aha moment” that clicked for you.
Q1: What does it mean to transcend thought?
Transcending thought doesn’t mean stopping thinking altogether or eliminating thoughts. It means recognizing that you are not your thoughts—you are the awareness that observes them. This creates a spacious perspective where thoughts can arise and pass without defining who you are or controlling your emotional state. You begin to use thinking as a tool rather than being used by it.
Q2: How can I tell the difference between automatic thoughts and my deeper wisdom?
Automatic thinking tend to be rapid, repetitive, and often connected to past conditioning or future worries. They can feel noisy and demanding. Deeper wisdom, by contrast, emerges from stillness and feels more like a quiet knowing. It’s often accompanied by a sense of peace or clarity, even if the circumstances might feel chaotic. The key is creating space through practices like conscious breathing or meditation to hear the quieter voice beneath the mental chatter.
Q3: Why is breathing awareness so important in this process?
Breathing serves as an anchor to the present moment. When you focus on your breath, you naturally shift attention away from the thinking mind and into direct experience. This simple act creates a gap in the stream of thought, allowing you to glimpse the spacious awareness that exists beyond mental activity. Your breath is always available as a doorway to your deeper self.
Q4: I’ve tried meditation but my mind won’t stop thinking. Am I doing it wrong?
The goal of meditation isn’t to stop thoughts—it’s to change your relationship with them. Your mind will continue to produce thoughts; that’s what minds do. The practice is about noticing when you’ve been caught up in thought and gently returning to your breath or point of focus. Each time you notice thinking and return to awareness, you’re strengthening the observer within. You’re not failing; you’re practicing exactly what you’re supposed to practice.
Q5: What is the “original self” mentioned in the article?
The original self is the pure awareness or consciousness that exists before conditioning, before you learned to identify with your thoughts, emotions, roles, and stories. It’s who you were before the world told you who you should be. This essence has been present throughout your entire life, underneath all the accumulated layers of identity. Accessing it feels like coming home to yourself.
Q6: How do I access this “infinite space” within myself in daily life?
Start with brief moments of presence throughout your day. Pause between activities and take three conscious breaths, noticing the sensation of breathing. When walking, feel your feet touching the ground. When eating, truly taste your food. These small practices create gaps in unconscious thinking and open doorways to deeper awareness. Over time, this spacious quality becomes more accessible even amid activity.
Q7: Can this practice help with anxiety or overwhelming emotions?
Yes, profoundly. When you identify with your emotions, they overwhelm you. When you recognize yourself as the awareness that witnesses emotions, you create breathing room. Emotions can arise and be felt fully, but they don’t consume your entire identity. This doesn’t make difficult emotions disappear, but it changes your relationship with them. You become the vast sky in which emotional weather patterns move through, rather than being tossed around by every storm.
