Creating in freedom is the true expression of your soul.

“Your Daily Dose” is a quick two minute read packed with bite-sized wisdom from all the great teachers. But you could also choose to turn it into something more… a powerful daily practice for personal growth. Give it a try!

A message from today’s meditation:

In the grand art gallery of existence, each of us wields a brush, adding our unique strokes to the collective canvas of human experience. The colors we choose, the techniques we employ, and the very essence of our creations all stem from one fundamental source: the emotions that drive our every action.

Life presents us with a profound choice each day – a choice that determines not just what we create, but who we become in the process. We can create from a place of fear, or we can create from a place of freedom. This isn’t merely a philosophical concept; it’s the very foundation of how we express our souls.

Neale Donald Walsch, in his transformative work “Conversations with God,” illuminates this essential truth with remarkable clarity:

“All human actions are motivated at their deepest level by two emotions–fear or love. In truth there are only two emotions–only two words in the language of the soul…. Fear wraps our bodies in clothing, love allows us to stand naked. Fear clings to and clutches all that we have, love gives all that we have away. Fear holds close, love holds dear. Fear grasps, love lets go. Fear rankles, love soothes. Fear attacks, love amends.” – Neale Donald Walsch

“Every single free choice you ever undertake arises out of one of the only two possible thoughts there are: a thought of love or a thought of fear. Fear is the energy which contracts, closes down, draws in, runs, hides, hoards, harms. Love is the energy which expands, opens up, sends out, stays, reveals, shares, heals. Every human thought, word, or deed is based in one emotion or the other. You have no choice about this, because there is nothing else from which to choose. But you have free choice about which of these to select.” – Neale Donald Walsch

Creating in fear will do its job to keep you alive. But creating in freedom is the true expression of your soul.

When you create in fear, your highest achievement will be to become the best version of your LIMITED self. Step into your UNLIMITED nature, and see what you can create when you embrace possibilities over problems.

The choice between fear and love is a decision we make every day, in every aspect of our lives. When we choose to create from fear, we limit our potential. When we choose to create from love, we unleash our inner artist and embark on a journey of self-discovery and fulfillment.

So, how can you cultivate a mindset of love and creativity? Here are a few guiding mantras for self-reflection:

  • “I focus on what I CAN do and let go of the outcome.” Don’t put too much pressure on yourself to create a masterpiece. Enjoy the process and focus on expressing yourself authentically.
  • “I believe in my divine potential.” Trust in your talent and your intuition. You have the potential to create something truly extraordinary.
  • “I pour my energy into things that make me come alive.” What truly excites and inspires you? Pursue your passions with enthusiasm and dedication.
  • “I am surrounded by support and encouragement.” Seek out positive relationships and a supportive community that encourages your creativity.

The next time you find yourself facing a challenge, ask yourself: “What is motivating my decisions? Fear or love?” If you’re creating from fear, take a step back and consider how you can shift your perspective. Remember, the best that fear can hope to do is only just stay ahead of trouble. Love is the energy that recognizes possibility and potential. When your actions are not determined by fear, you can access the freedom to be the expression of your soul.

Practice the “Daily Dose”

Let’s put it into practice! Choose what works for you – daily, once a week or whenever inspiration strikes. Putting pen to paper wires the neural pathways that will create your new habits.

1 – Affirmation

Write down your favourite affirmation on a sticky note and place it somewhere that you’ll be able to see it the whole day.

2 – A moment of reflection

Use today’s question as a journal prompt. If you don’t have the time to sit down and write, just take a moment to reflect on your response.

Your Unlimited Self: Think about the concept of your “limited self” versus your “unlimited nature.” Describe what your limited self looks like—what beliefs, behaviors, and patterns keep you small? Then envision your unlimited self: What would you create, attempt, or express if fear wasn’t a factor? Write a letter from your unlimited self to your current self, offering encouragement and wisdom.

3 – Quotes to share

Send a quote to someone who needs it, or share them all on social media to spread the good vibes!

4 – Q&A for deeper learning

Read through the questions and answers and write down at least one “aha moment” that clicked for you.

1. Q: How can I tell if I’m creating from fear or love?

A: Pay attention to the energy behind your actions. Fear-based creation feels contractive—you’ll notice yourself hiding, hoarding, avoiding risks, or focusing on what might go wrong. You might feel tense, anxious, or overly concerned with others’ opinions. Love-based creation feels expansive—you’ll feel open, generous, willing to share, and focused on possibilities. You’ll trust your intuition and feel aligned with your authentic self, even when facing uncertainty.

2. Q: Is fear always bad? Don’t we need some fear to stay safe?

A: Fear serves an important biological function in keeping us safe from genuine danger. However, when it comes to creative expression and personal growth, fear often becomes a limitation rather than protection. The key is distinguishing between healthy caution and paralyzing fear. Creating from fear will keep you alive but limits you to the best version of your “limited self.” Creating from love allows you to access your unlimited potential while still maintaining reasonable boundaries.

3. Q: What if I’ve been creating from fear for so long that I don’t know how to shift to love?

A: This shift is a gradual process, not an overnight transformation. Start by becoming aware of your fear-based patterns without judgment. Practice small acts of love-based creation—perhaps sharing something you’ve been hiding, trying a new approach, or expressing yourself more authentically in low-stakes situations. Build your “love muscle” gradually, and be patient with yourself as you develop this new way of being.

4. Q: Can someone be successful while creating from fear?

A: Yes, fear-based creation can lead to conventional success—good grades, stable careers, social approval. However, this success often feels hollow or unfulfilling because it’s not aligned with your soul’s true expression. Fear-based success typically involves conforming to external expectations rather than honoring your authentic gifts. While you might achieve your goals, you may find yourself asking, “Is this all there is to life?”

5. Q: How do I deal with practical concerns like paying bills while creating from love?

A: Creating from love doesn’t mean being irresponsible with practical matters. Instead, it means approaching your responsibilities from a place of trust and expansion rather than desperation and contraction. You can pursue meaningful work that aligns with your values while still meeting your obligations. Often, love-based creation leads to more sustainable success because it taps into your genuine strengths and passion.

6. Q: What does it mean to “let go of the outcome?”

A: Letting go of the outcome means focusing on the process of creation rather than being attached to specific results. When you’re overly concerned with a “perfect” outcome or whether it will be “successful,” you’re creating from fear. Instead, focus on authentic expression, enjoying the process of taking the actions that you CAN take, and trust that when you create from love, the outcome will serve your highest good—even if it’s different from what you initially expected.

7. Q: How can I build a supportive environment for love-based creation?

A: Surround yourself with people who encourage your authentic expression rather than those who fuel your fears. Seek out communities, mentors, or friends who celebrate creativity and growth. Create physical spaces that inspire you. Limit exposure to overly critical voices (including your own inner critic) and media that promotes fear-based thinking. Remember that your environment includes not just people and places, but also the thoughts and beliefs you regularly engage with.
