Are you LIVING your worth, or are you trying to prove your worth?

“Your Daily Dose” is a quick two minute read packed with bite-sized wisdom from all the great teachers. But you could also choose to turn it into something more… a powerful daily practice for personal growth. Give it a try!

A message from today’s meditation:

It’s Monday, the start of a brand new week and I want to remind you that you ARE a born creator! Not metaphorically, not aspirationally – literally. Creating is woven into your very essence from the moment you arrived in this world.

You were created to create. Creating is your birth-right. Whether you want it or not.

“Creativity is one of your greatest gifts. It resides deep inside you impacting every thought. It is attached to a never ending source and is one of the main aspects of who you are. Your very essence is as a creator. No one creates exactly like you do. Your thoughts and actions color the world.” – Renae Sauter

What an inspiring message for the start of the week, your thoughts and actions colour this world!

We are all born creators. It’s in our DNA. From the moment we’re born, we’re constantly shaping our reality. Every thought, every action, every decision contributes to weaving the tapestry that is our life.

But even so, authentic expression can feel out of reach to many of us. It’s so easy to get trapped in a cycle of self-doubt and wanting validation, constantly striving to prove our worth to others.

So while you’re creating, it is helpful to have awareness of what place you are creating from…

What is it that inspires the actions you take?

Are you creating from a place of fear or from a place of freedom?

Fear inspires you to avoid what scares you, while freedom inspires you to create what your soul calls for.

“Are you busy trying to prove your worth, or are you living your worth? It’s a critical distinction.” – Renae Sauter

“Authenticity is what inspires. Just be real.” – Renae Sauter

When we allow fear to dictate our actions, we become trapped in a cycle of self-doubt and insecurity. We create from a place of scarcity, constantly worrying about what others think and how we measure up. This fear-based approach limits our potential and prevents us from truly expressing ourselves.

On the other hand, when we create from a place of love and freedom, we tap into a limitless source of inspiration. We’re guided by our inner wisdom, trusting our intuition and embracing our unique talents. We’re no longer seeking external validation; we’re living authentically and expressing ourselves freely.

When you’re creating in fear, you’ll forever be trying to prove yourself to the world. When you create in love and freedom, you’ll be guided by the expression of your soul.

To cultivate a life of authenticity and creativity, consider these guiding mantras:

  • “I am a born creator, and my unique expression colors the world in ways no one else can.”
  • “I release the need to prove my worth; I choose instead to live my worth fully and authentically.”
  • “My creativity flows from an infinite source within me, not from external validation.”
  • “I create from freedom and love, trusting my inner wisdom to guide my expression.”
  • “I am enough exactly as I am, and my authentic self is my greatest gift to the world.”

Have a beautiful week beautiful humans. You have nothing to prove to anyone. Your only job is to learn to love your human vessel and use it to give expression to your soul.

Practice the “Daily Dose”

Let’s put it into practice! Choose what works for you – daily, once a week or whenever inspiration strikes. Putting pen to paper wires the neural pathways that will create your new habits.

1 – Affirmation

Write down your favourite affirmation on a sticky note and place it somewhere that you’ll be able to see it the whole day.

2 – A moment of reflection

Use today’s question as a journal prompt. If you don’t have the time to sit down and write, just take a moment to reflect on your response.

The Proving vs. Living Inventory: Make two lists, one titled “To whom am I trying to prove my worth?” and another titled “Where am I simply living my worth?” Be honest about the areas of your life where you’re performing, seeking validation, or trying to measure up. Then identify the spaces where you feel free, authentic, and guided by your inner wisdom. What patterns do you notice? What would it take to shift more of your energy from the first list to the second?

3 – Quotes to share

Send a quote to someone who needs it, or share them all on social media to spread the good vibes!

4 – Q&A for deeper learning

Read through the questions and answers and write down at least one “aha moment” that clicked for you.

Q1: What does it really mean to “create from fear” versus “create from freedom”?

A: Creating from fear means your actions are primarily motivated by avoiding negative outcomes—rejection, failure, judgment, or not being enough. You’re constantly looking for external validation and proof that you’re worthy. Creating from freedom means your actions flow from inner wisdom, authenticity, and trust in your unique expression. You’re guided by what your soul calls you to create rather than what you think will protect you from criticism or gain approval.

Q2: How can I tell which place I’m creating from in the moment?

A: Pay attention to how your body feels and what thoughts dominate your mind. Fear-based creation often comes with physical tension, anxiety, second-guessing, and constant comparison to others. You’ll notice thoughts like “What will they think?” or “Is this good enough?” Freedom-based creation typically feels more expansive, energizing, and aligned. Your thoughts center on expression, possibility, and authenticity rather than judgment and measurement. The quality of your internal dialogue is your compass.

Q3: I’ve spent years trying to prove my worth. How do I start living it instead?

A: Begin with awareness. Notice when you’re performing versus when you’re being authentic. Start small by identifying one area of your life where you can practice expressing yourself without seeking approval. Build your capacity for self-compassion—treat yourself with the same kindness you’d offer a dear friend. Remember that this is a practice, not a destination. Each time you catch yourself trying to prove yourself to others, you can make a conscious choice to shift toward living your worth instead.

Q4: What if my creativity doesn’t feel “good enough” when I create from freedom?

A: This question itself reveals fear-based thinking. When you create from freedom, you’re not measuring your creativity against external standards of “good enough.” You’re expressing your unique voice, which is inherently valuable because it’s yours. The goal isn’t perfection or approval—it’s authentic expression. Your creativity doesn’t have to be good enough for anyone else; it only needs to be true to you. The more you practice creating from this place, the more you’ll trust the value of your unique expression.

Q5: Can I be a creator if I don’t consider myself an “artistic” person?

A: Absolutely. Being a creator isn’t limited to traditional arts like painting, writing, or music. You’re creating every single day through your thoughts, choices, relationships, and actions. You create when you solve problems, design your living space, cook a meal, have a conversation, or make decisions about your life. Creation is about shaping reality through your unique perspective and actions—and that’s something every human does constantly, whether they identify as “artistic” or not.

Q6: How do I balance creating from freedom with practical responsibilities and others’ expectations?

A: Creating from freedom doesn’t mean ignoring responsibilities or living without consideration for others. It means approaching those responsibilities from a place of authenticity rather than fear. You can honor commitments and meet practical needs while still staying true to your values and inner wisdom. The difference is in your internal stance: Are you fulfilling responsibilities because you’re terrified of disappointing people, or because you’re consciously choosing to honor your commitments while maintaining your integrity? Freedom includes the freedom to choose responsibility authentically.

Q7: What role does self-compassion play in authentic creativity?

A: Self-compassion is essential because it creates the safe internal environment where authentic expression can flourish. When you’re kind to yourself, you reduce the fear of failure and judgment that blocks creativity. You give yourself permission to experiment, make mistakes, and express imperfectly. Self-compassion helps you separate your worth from your creative output—you can create something that doesn’t work out and still know you’re valuable. It’s the antidote to the harsh inner critic that keeps you trapped in proving mode rather than living mode.
