There is a deep intelligence to learning how to live our lives according to what “feels” good. Have you ever received the advice that you shouldn’t make decisions based on how you feel? That feelings change from one moment to the next so they can’t be trusted?
It is true that emotions can be fickle and change like the weather. Emotion (at least on some level) is a temporary chemical state that your body is in. What you are “feeling” is the effect being flooded with molecules we all know as hormones.
But there is also a deeper “feeling” that is a direct feedback of the state your nervous system is in. If you keep ignoring THAT feeling and continue red-lining your nervous system, then at some point it will start failing.
You can learn to listen to your nervous system, pay attention to that “feeling”. If your nervous system is taking strain, then you need to stop and reevaluate.
Your nervous system controls everything in your body. EVERYTHING. And while it’s healthy, almost nothing can bring you down. But an unhealthy nervous system WILL slowly allow one ailment after another to slip through the cracks.
